presented in partnership with Par West and in association with PBI-Gordon

Cottonwood Country Club at Sun Lakes will be the location for this interactive facility tour.

GCSAA Host Superintendent: Scott Anderson, Class A

First Green instructors will be joined by experienced First Green hosts to show you first-hand how to work with students. GCSAA’s First Green program is a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) environmental outreach program that uses your golf course as a learning laboratory. K-12 students participate in hands-on, outdoor learning stations that include lessons on:

• wildlife habitat

• soil science

• environmental sustainability

• mathematics

• water quality

• water conservation

• career exploration and much more.

GCSAA has taken the guess work out of how to pull this together for you and created easy to follow lesson plans that correlate to each learning station on your golf course. We will walk you through how to contact a school, bring the students out to your golf course and who to call to assist you on the day of the field trip. It’s all at your fingertips and easier than you think it will be - join us.
