Tuesday, January 30
10:30 am – 12:00 pm

Power Hour

Promoting diversity & inclusion in golf means ensuring the sport is open, friendly, & accommodating to everyone. It means ensuring that all golfers feel welcomed, respected, & valued for who they are. Various initiatives aim to increase diversity & inclusion in golf, as it’s recognized that more needs to be done to make the sport inclusive & accessible.

You’ll hear from:

Scott Johnson, Founder and President/CEO of The Warrior Alliance, who will highlight what he is doing at the Warrior Alliance and Operation Double Eagle to introduce veterans to the golf industry. He’ll talk about his partnership with GCSAA to address our labor shortage while serving veterans.

Anthony Netto, founder of the Stand Up and Play Foundation and KidSwing International, will provide perspective of a seated golfer on course/facility access & design. He will talk about what the game has meant to him and why he has been involved in Stand Up and Play.

Jason Sfire, COO/President of The Fidelity Companies/National Alliance for Accessible Golf board member and Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association Board President, as a seated golfer will share insights & tangible ways owners/operators can draw people into the game, the importance of golf courses creating welcoming and inclusive environments, and the value golf brings to individuals with disabilities and their families.

Chava McKeel, GCSAA, will talk about her time spent on the National Alliance for Accessible Golf Board of Directors and showcase resources available to GCSAA members.
