(1354-01) Parasitic nematodes can have a negative effect on turfgrass roots. This is especially impactful on low cut putting greens with reduced photosynthetic capability to replace carbohydrates lost to nematode feeding. Learn how to better evaluate and manage root health through methodical sampling and assessment. You’ll see how nematode counts and risks can be correlated to root health. Data collected from several golf courses in Florida over 2-years will be presented and results interpreted. Review includes ways to determine whether product applications for nematodes are warranted in addition to gauging the efficacy of cultural practices and chemical applications. Join us to find management practices that best fit your course.
