Grass selection to reduce inputs from fairways to roughs

Thursday, February 24
12:15pm – 1:15pm

Perception has become reality in terms of chemical and fertilizer applications to golf courses across the country. Even if a product is being used properly and in the safest manner possible, the perception still exists that inputs applied to golf courses are either hurting the environment or are unsafe to humans, and because of this there are restrictions being imposed by local authorities all over the U.S. and Canada. This session will focus on pros and cons of grass options for all every area of the course and discussion of specific cultivars, blends and mixes that have shown to thrive in tough environments with little or no chemical assistance.
