Roch E Gaussoin, Ph.D.

Roch Gaussoin, Ph.D., is a Professor of Agronomy and Extension Specialist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a native New Mexican and an alumnus of New Mexico State University, earning his Bachelor’s in Agronomy in 1980 and Master’s in 1984. His Ph.D. was completed at Michigan State University in Turfgrass Science in 1988. Gaussoin has conducted academic research for more than 35 years. He is a frequently invited speaker to conferences nationally and internationally. Gaussoin has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Nebraska Turfgrass Association, the Exceptional Service Award from the Nebraska Golf Course Superintendents Association and the GCSAA Col. John Morley Distinguished Service Award. In 2023, he received the USGA Green Section Award. Doc Roch has been a GCSAA seminar and webinar instructor as well as a columnist for Golf Course Management magazine.
