John R Patterson, CTEM
A lifelong mechanic with a broad range of experience, John Patterson moved from Chicago to Florida in 1993 and started his golf equipment maintenance career at The Forest Country Club in Fort Myers, before moving on to equipment manager positions at West Bay Club in Estero, Calusa Pines in Naples, Doral Golf Resort in Miami, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Jupiter, and PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens. While at Doral and PGA National, Patterson oversaw equipment preparations for 12 PGA Tour events. He joined the team at the Atlanta Athletic Club in July of 2015.Patterson holds certificates in all areas of equipment maintenance, and was a founding member and past president of the International Golf Course Equipment Managers Association, which has since merged with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Patterson enjoys developing new techniques in the shop and sharing developments with his peers.Patterson and his wife, Kim, have one son, Evan. He likes to spend his home time with family activities, scouting with Evan, cycling and driving his V8-powered Miata in the north Georgia mountains.
