Elliott Dowling

Elliott Dowling is an agronomist in the USGA Green Section’s Northeast Region. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Horticulture with an emphasis in turfgrass management from Iowa State University, and his Masters of Professional Studies in turfgrass management from Penn State University. Dowling works out of the Glen Mills, Pa., office under Northeast Region Director David Oatis, helping golf facilities maintain better playing conditions through the USGA Course Consulting Service on-site visits, educational outreach and research throughout the five-state region. Before joining the USGA, Dowling was golf course superintendent at Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville, Ill. He also was the superintendent at the Ivanhoe (Ill.) Club and an assistant superintendent at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., in addition to golf course internships in Illinois, Colorado and California.
