James Hempfling, Ph.D.
James Hempfling, Ph.D., is Solution Development Manager at Envu, Durham, N.C. Hempfling earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources with Spanish as a 2nd Major at Oklahoma State University. He earned both his Master’s and Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Rutgers University. After working at several golf courses and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rutgers, Hempfling joined the Bayer Crop Science team as a Field Scientist in the Western U.S. He became Solution Development Manager in Nov. 2021. Hempling is also an Associate Editor for the Agronomy Journal of the American Society of Agronomy.
