Kevin W Frank, Ph.D.

Kevin W. Frank, Ph.D., is an associate professor at Michigan State University.  He holds degrees from the University of Wyoming and the University of Nebraska.  Frank’s research interests include turfgrass nutrition and fertilizer programming, nitrogen and phosphorus fate, winterkill prevention and irrigation programming.  His university appointment consists of 30% research and 70% extension.  Frank’s excellence in the turfgrass industry has been well-documented through the awards he has received, including Michigan Green Industry Association Chairman's Award and the American Society of Agronomy A-4 Audiovisuals Excellence Award.  He serves as the MSU Turfgrass Committee Chair and as the MSU Liaison to the Golf Association of Michigan.  In addition to participation in state and regional turfgrass conferences around the United States, Frank has lectured on turfgrass science in China.  He has been a GCSAA faculty member since 2002 and he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife in his spare time.
