Renee Geyer

Renee D. Geyer is beginning her first season with Canterwood Golf and Country Club in Gig Harbor, Washington as the head Golf Course Superintendent. Born and raised in Ohio, Renee attended The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio and then began her professional career at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. While at Firestone, she completed seven years as a three-course Assistant Superintendent and five years as the Superintendent of the Fazio Golf Course. She also applied for, and gained, Firestone’s certification from The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program and oversaw a complete Better Billy Bunker renovation of the Fazio’s 70 bunkers. Renee has worked and groomed Firestone for multiple Seniors’ Championships Tour Events as well as PGA Tour Events. Renee currently serves on the national GCSAA PAC board and has been involved with GCSAA task groups throughout her career. Serving as a speaker at the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation Conference and Show as well as the National Golf Industry Show, Renee has been able to highlight involvement and passion for promoting the presence of women in the Golf Industry. When not at the golf course, she enjoys time with family, throwing competitive darts and gardening with her wife.
