Adam Van Dyke

Adam Van Dyke is the founder and owner of Professional Turfgrass Solutions in Salt Lake City, Utah. He conducts numerous scientific studies annually on golf courses to gain knowledge that is applied in nature and relates directly to local and regional issues. His work on turf encompasses a variety of topics, including pesticide efficacy and tolerance, plant growth regulators, drought management, plant nutrition, salinity management and evaluations of organic and biological materials in turf systems. The information gathered from his work provides unbiased education to superintendents in the western U.S. Van Dyke is also an adjunct instructor for Utah State University, teaching turfgrass management to off-campus students. He frequently presents his research to local GCSA chapters and has spoken at agronomic meetings around the country. He has been published in GCM, the Green Section Record, Golfdom, Applied Turfgrass Science (ATS), and Crop, Forage, and Turfgrass Management (CFTM). A former golf course superintendent, Van Dyke received a bachelor of science degree in horticulture with a turfgrass management emphasis, from Utah State University in 2002. In 2008, he earned a master's degree from USU in plant science with a minor in soil science, studying the effects of humic substances on the water holding capacity of putting green rootzones. He received the title of Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg) in 2013 from the American Society of Agronomy based on his education and professional experience in the field of turfgrass management.
