Frank D Dinelli
Dan Dinelli, CGCS, is a third generation golf course superintendent at the North Shore Country Club (NSCC) in the Chicago area and thirty-year member of the GCSAA. He has achieved success as a certified golf course superintendent meeting the rigorous performance standards, including agronomic, business, leadership, environmental, and communication standards. He has a significant continuing education in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), agronomic practices, turfgrass research, pesticide use, and resource & environmental management that go beyond his degrees at William Rainey Harper College and Michigan State University. Dinelli has a focus on continual improvement in developing a systems approach to soil and plant health. Dinelli has experience in integrating plant genetics, physical, chemical and biological systems to enhance soil and plant ecology under a sustainable framework. Dinelli has integrated this knowledge into his golf course operations at NSCC and has become a recognized professional and resource within the golf course management industry.
Dinelli has been on many professional and related committees on the national, regional and local levels. Examples include GCSAA’s Environmental Programs Committee, Chair of the GCSAA IPM Task Group, North Central IPM Center’s Stakeholder Panel, and many more. As a result of his efforts, he has helped to develop many IPM resources, articles, education, and tools for golf course superintendents and others as represented within my vitae. In addition, Dinelli participates in university research and is often a featured speaker within the industry.
