David Hunsucker, Owner and Chief Pilot started The Drone Co. - RVA in 2017 after spending 8+ years working for a software developer of CAD and GIS mapping applications. This experience propelled The Drone Co. - RVA to specialize in aerial mapping for a wide range of industries, specializing in golf course mapping. Today, The Drone Co. - RVA has travelled across the US working with PGA events, GCBAA and ASGCA members to assist in tournament prep, design, master planning and construction.
The Drone Co. - RVA takes great pride in our services and continues to use the latest technology to provide highly accurate mapping solutions. Our golf course mapping services consist of highly accurate aerial maps, terrain models and topography data that can be overlaid into CAD or GIS software. This data is invaluable during the planning and construction process but also for day to day turf management and golf course operations.
