Turf Bowl

 presented in partnership with  johnDeer

The 28th Annual Collegiate Turf Bowl Competition will be a hybrid contest comprised of an in-person exam and a virtual cast study.

To participate in the Turf Bowl Competition, students must:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a turf program or have graduated at the end of the most recent fall semester but not yet entered a graduate program
  • Be an active Student member of GCSAA
  • Be a registered attendee at the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show

To help you prepare for this year’s competition, the 2022 Turf Bowl Study Guide is now available. Read the document carefully.

You will notice that the Case Study will be completed prior to arrival in San Diego. In order to accommodate this, the team sign up must be completed by Jan. 14, 2022. Advisors should send a list of students’ names, GCSAA membership numbers, email addresses and desired team, if there is more than one team for your school, to Diana Kern.

The Case Study presentation is due Jan. 21, 2022.

In San Diego, the students will take the written exam, with the identification sections. The results will be announced at the Closing Celebration, and GCSAA is asking for team photos, which will be used during the program.
