First Green is a Team Effort

Have you heard of GCSAA’s First Green program that uses golf courses as living laboratories for a fun, hands-on learning opportunity for K-12 students? Are you are interested in building a workplace that’s inspired and team driven? Join Leann Cooper, Senior Manager, Chapter Services, as she illustrates how your Team can get involved in hosting a successful First Green field trip.

GCSAA’s First Green program is a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) environmental outreach program that brings students from schools to the golf course. John Feeney, Manager of Golf Maintenance at Estes Valley Recreation and Park District, shares how these field trips are the perfect opportunity to build community, inspire students and introduce young people to golf and golf course careers.
