Alan G FitzGerald, CGCS, MG

Alan FitzGerald, CGCS, MG, originally comes from Kilkenny in Ireland. Having spent a lot of time around the local golf club with his father, he got interested in turfgrass management after taking a summer at Mount Juliet Golf and Country Club. While working there he attended the turf program at the National Botanical Gardens in Dublin, graduating in spring ’96. FitzGerald was accepted to Penn State’s 2-year program that fall and interned at Loch Lomond Golf Club in Scotland in the following summer. Upon graduating from PSU he accepted an assistant superintendent position at Pine Valley in N.J. where he remained until starting at LedgeRock in 2004 prior to the start of construction. He has been actively involved on various GCSAA committees including being a two term president of CPGCSA. In 2021 he became Master Greenkeeper #84.
