Andy Jorgensen, CGCS

Andrew Jorgensen, CGCS, is the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations at On Top of the World Communities, LLC in Ocala, Florida. He has been with the company since 2005 managing 81 holes of golf at the company’s properties in Ocala and Clearwater, Fla. Jorgensen was born in Kansas City, Mo. and relocated to Florida after spending his youth growing up outside of Atlanta, Ga. He obtained two Associate degrees in Golf Turf Management and Commercial Turf Management from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a certificate in Turf Management from the University of Georgia. Jorgensen has won many awards proving his commitment to the environment and the community in which so many call home. In 2014 and again in 2017, he won the GCSAA/Golf Digest Environmental Leaders in Golf Award. In 2020, he was awarded the Wreath of Grass, the highest award presented annually by the Florida Turfgrass Association for his efforts to advance the association and turfgrass industry, and in 2022 he won the GCSAA President’s Award for Environmental Stewardship.
